The Problem

Your goods are being sent to you or your customers via a shipping company and are in good hands. But if something happens which is out of the shipping company's control, even when it is exercising the highest level of care, then you might not receive any compensation for the damage – or only receive partial compensation. Such cases normally end up in court. If goods are transported by sea, they may not be adequately insured. If goods are damaged during loading or unloading, and there is no clear agreement with the carrier about this, the carrier is not liable for any possible damage.

Some risks which goods are exposed to:

  • accident to means of conveyance
  • acts of God
  • robbery
  • fire, lightning, explosion
  • vehicle theft

The disadvantages for you:

  • purchasing replacements for the goods
  • it could take several months for the claim to be settled
  • the goods have to be paid for once more
  • egal disputes, lawyer’s fees etc

The Solution

Transport insurance is one of the oldest types of insurance. We can offer concepts which leave almost no transport risk uninsured.

For instance, our plans offer protection against:

  • return shipments of insured goods
  • lost goods after confiscation or war
  • total loss due to wrong delivery
  • storage/ temporary storage
  • loading and unloading
  • accident to the means of conveyance
  • acts of God
  • etc.

Our cover also includes the transport of goods with your own vehicles.
